Average speed= Total distance/Total time

Total Time= 3hrs+5hrs=8hrs

we know,

speed= distance/time

so,

distance= speed×time

For first 3 hrs, the distance will be

⇒ 60×3

180km

For the next 5 hours, The distance will be

⇒35×5

175km

The total distance is,

180km+175km

355km

Average speed= 355/8

44.375km/h
