Solution :-

Given ,

  • Mass of body = 5 kg
  • Velocity of body = 2 m/s

We need to find ,

  • Linear momentum = ?

As we know that ,

  • Momentum = m × v

Substituting known values ,

⇒ p = 5 × 2

Momentum ( p ) = 10 kgm/s

Hence , momentum of the body = 10 kgm/s

Physics formulae

  • p = m × v
  • F = m × a
  • a = v - u/t
  • W = F × S
  • S = ut + 1/2 at²
  • v² - u² = 2as
  • v² = 2gS or 2gH

Answer:

✳️ Given ✳️

\longmapsto A body of mass is 5kg with velocity 2ms-¹

✳️ To Find ✳️

\mapsto What is the linear momentum.

✳️ Formula Used ✳️

\green\bigstar p = mv \green\bigstar

Where,

  • p = linear momentum
  • m = mass
  • v = velocity

✳️ Solution ✳️

Given :-

  • Mass of body = 5kg
  • Velocity of the body = 2m/s-¹

According to the question by using the formula we get,

\implies p = 5 × 2

\dashrightarrow p = 10kgms-¹

\therefore The Linear momentum is 10kgms-¹
