Given:-

  • Mass of iron ball (m) = 4kg

  • Area of contact between the ball and the floor is 0.25m³

To Find:-

  • Pressure exerted by the ball (p) .

Solution:-

As we know that the product of mass and acceleration due to gravity is called weight of the object.

→ W = mg

substitute the value we get

→ W = 4×10

→ W = 40N

And Now

→ Pressure = Force /Area

→ p = F/a

→ p = w/a

substitute the value we get

→ p = 40/0.25

→ p = 160 Pa. or 160N/m²

The pressure acting on the floor by the ball is 160 Pascal.

Given :-

  • Mass (m) = 4kg
  • Area (a) = 0.25m³

To Find :-

  • The pressure (p) exerted by the ball.

Solution :-

As we know that,

F = w = mg

↪ F = W = 4 × 10 [ g = 10m/s² ]

↪F = W = 40N.

Finding the pressure exerted by the ball.

↪ P = F/A

↪ P = 40/0.25

↪ P = 160pa [ N/m² = Pascal ]

.°. Pressure is 160pa.
