If a spring is cut into two equal parts then what is the spring constant of each part with respect to original spelling ?

If the force constant of original spring is k then the force of spring constant of each part with respect to only original one would be 2K.
Since
Extension directly proportional to the length of spring.
for full spring extension y,k = F/Y
For Half spring under same force extension is y/2,then k'= F/(y/2) = 2F/y = 2k
