Answer:

1g

Explanation:

density=mass÷volume

mass=density×volume

here   density=0.5gcm³     volume=2cm³

then mass=0.5×2=1g

Given : the density of wood is 0.5 g/cm³

To Find :  the mass of a piece of wood of volume  2 cm³

Solution:

Density = Mass / Volume

Mass = m g

Density = 0.5 g/cm³

Volume = 2 cm³

0.5 = m/2

=> m = 0.5 * 2

=> m =1 g

the mass of a piece of wood of volume  1 cm³ = 1 g
