\huge\boxed{Hey\:MATE!!}

first of all calculate the molecular mass of above compound (Adipic acid)

HOOC(CH2)4COOH

✓✓ MOLECULAR MASS = 1+16+16+12+(14×4)+12+16+16+1= 146

now,

146g of adipic acid contains 6.022×10²³ atoms

so,

0.73mg of adipic acid contains=

( 6.022×10²³/146)×0.73 ×10^-³ atoms

calculate it ....and get ur answer!

The number of atoms ins 0.73mg of the given compound is 3.0× 10⁻¹ atoms

GIVEN

The molecular formula of Adipic acid - HOOC(CH₂)₄COOH

Weight of Adipic acid - 0.73mg

TO FIND

Number of atoms in a given weight of Adipic acid

SOLUTION

We can solve the above problem as follows -

According to stoichiometry -

1 mole of a compound = Avogadro's number = 6.022×10²³ molecules of the compound

We know that,

1 mole of a compound = Molecular mass of the compound

The molecular mass of Adipic Acid =6(12)+10(1)+4(16)

= 146.4 g/mol

Now,

146.4 grams of compound = 6.022×10²³ atoms

so,

0.73 × 10⁻³ grams of compound = (6.022×10²³/146)×7.3 × 10⁻⁴

= 3.0 × 10⁻¹⁹ atoms

Hence, Number of atoms ins 0.73mg of the given compound is 3.0× 10⁻¹ atoms
