ACTIVITY
To find whether a fixed amount of water
dissolves equal amounts of soluble
Materials required : Three beakers A, 8
powder • common salt • copper sulphate
and C half filled with water sodium carbonate
Method : Take the beaker A and to it add
1 spoonful of washing soda powder. Stir the
contents of the beaker. If the washing soda
powder dissolves completely add one spoonful
more. Repeat the procedure till the washing
soda stops dissolving. Count the number
spoonfuls of washing soda added and enter in
the table below.
Repeat the procedure with beaker B and
common salt as well as with beaker C and
copper sulphate powder. Enter the number of
spoonfuls of common salt and copper sulphate
powder in the table.
