Solution:

P(x) = x4+x3-2x2+x+1

Let,

g(x) = x-1

x-1 = 0

x = 1

Now,

P(x) = x4+x3-2x2+x+1

P(1) = 1*4+1*3-2*1*2+1+1

= 5

Answer: 5
