and radius is given to be OB = 10 cm

now,

MB = 8 cm
OB = 10 cm
OM = ?


now by pythagoras theorem 

OB² = OM² + MB²
OM² = OB² - MB²
OM² = 10² - 8²
OM² = 100 - 64
OM² = 36
OM = √36
OM = 6 cm.
