We have , ∠3=∠4        {angle in the same segment }

∴∠x=2∠3 ⇒∠x=∠3+∠4

But , ∠y=∠3+∠1              {ext. angle = sum of two interior angles}

∴∠x=∠y−∠1+∠4

But, ∠4−∠1=∠z

∴∠4−∠1=∠z

From (ii) and (iii) , We get ∠x=∠y+∠z
