Answer: 9/20

Explanation

Given ,

ticket numbers are from 1 to 20

So , the total number of ticket = 20

Again ,

the no. multiples of 3 and 5 among these numbers = 9 ( 3,5,6,9,10,12,15,18,20)

So , Probablity of getting a multiple of 3 and 5 among the tickets is = 9/20

Here, S = {1, 2, 3, 4, ...., 19, 20}.

Let E = event of getting a multiple of 3 or 5 = {3, 6 , 9, 12, 15, 18, 5, 10, 20}.

P(E) = n(E)/n(S) = 9/20.
