Following are the key differences between Plasma Membrane and Cell Wall:-

Plasma Membranes are semipermeable and have receptors which help in cell-cell communication, whereas Cell wall is completely permeable and does not have any receptors.

Plasma Membrane protects protoplasm and checks the entry of molecules.

Cell wall is present exclusively in plant, bacteria, fungi, algae cells.

Cell wall is outer most layer.

While pasma membrane is present inside the cell wall

Cell wall is present in plant cells

while absent in animal cells

plasma membrane in present in both plant & animal cells.

Plasma membrane in more permeable than cell wall.
