1kg and 4 kg mass is separated by a distance of 6m from each other. A third mass m is placed at a distances x from 1 kg where there is no gravitational force.

e.g., 1kg --------x------- m -------(6-x)-------- 4kg

gravitational force between 1 kg and m = gravitational force between 4kg and m

or, G1.m/x² = G4.m/(6 - x)²

or, 1/x² = {2/(6 - x)}²

or, 1/x = 2/(6 - x)

or, 6 - x = 2x => x = 2

hence, x = 2 m

question said m is placed x = 2m from 1kg in such a way that there is no gravitational force.

then how it can move.because acceleration = 0 and initially body are in rest then, after 5 sec body of mass m doesn't move. so, distance = 0
