The average kinetic energy of both the molecules will be the same at the same temperature.

•Kinetic energy is the energy associated with the motion of the molecule.

•Average kinetic energy is independent of mass and is dependent on the temperature.

•Since, the temperature in question is the same, the average kinetic energy of both the molecules will be the same, irrespective of their masses.

•Average kinetic energy has a formula-

KEavg = 3RT/2NA

R refers to gas constant

T refers to the temperature

NA refers to Avogadro's number

•Average kinetic energy is also calculated in terms of RMS velocity, the formula for which is -

KEAvg = 1/2m(Vrms)²

Vrms is further calculated by - 3kT/m

K refers to Boltzmann constant.

For one molecule,

Avg kinetic energy=3/2kT

Which is only dependent on temperature.

Therefore at same specified temp.,avg kinetic energy remains same♥️
