Ozone or O3 looses its oxygen atoms to give the oxygen to the other reactant which makes O3 a oxidizing agent.

Hey !!

Due to the ease with which it liberates atoms of nascent oxygen, it acts as a powerful oxidising agent.

                O₃ ------> O₂ + O (Nascent oxygen)

Hope it helps you !
