Step-by-step explanation:

At first we have to find the area quadrant circle

Formula: 1/4πr²

we know radius of the quadrant is BO or 3.5 cm

So,

1/4*( 22/7)*3.5 *3.5

= 1/4*22*1.25

= 5.5*1.25.

= 6.655 cm²

Now, we thave find the area of Right angle

triangle BOD

Formula: 1/2 * Base * Height

We know from diagram

Base= 2cm

Height= 3.5cm

So,

1/2* 2 * 3.5

= 1* 3.5

= 3.5 cm²

The area of shaded portion is

6.655-3.5

=3.155 cm²
