Answer:  The required area is 77 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

As OAQB  is quadrant therefore ∅= 90°

Now CO = 7 cm

Therefore OB = 2 x CO = 2 x 7 = 14 cm

Hence radius for sector; R= 14 cm

radius of semicircle = 7 cm

Required area = area of sector - area of semicircle

Area= \pi R^2 \dfrac{\theta }{360} - \dfrac{1}{2} \pi r^2\\\\ \Rightarrow \pi ( 14 \times 14 \times \dfrac{90}{360} - \dfrac{1}{2} \times 7 \times 7 )\\\\\Rightarrow \dfrac{22}{7} (49 - \dfrac{49}{2} )\\\\\Rightarrow \dfrac{22}{7} \times \dfrac{49}{2} = 77cm^2

Hence, the required area is 77 cm²
