The President after his election , takes the oath of office , before taking over the charge of his office . "This oath of office" is administrated by the chief justice of India in the presence of the Prime Minister and his Council of Ministers .The oath runs as follows :

"I............................., do swear in the name of God that I will faithfully execute the office of the President of India and will, to the best of my ability , presence , protect and defend the Constitution and the Law and that I will devote myself to the service and well-being of the people of India".✔✔

I, (name), do swear in the name of God (or solemnly affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President (or discharge the functions of the President) of India, and will to the best of my ability preserve, protect and defend the Constitution and the law, and that I will devote myself to the service and well-being of the people of Republic of India.
