I =5cm

v=30cm

To Find :-

f=?

Solution :-

as we know that m=O/I=- v/u

O/I =-v/u

10/5 =-30/u

2=-30/u

-2/30 =1/u

u =- 15cm

this - sign shows that object is placed at left side.

1/u+1/v =1/f

1/-15 + 1/30 =1/f

-2+1/30 =1/f

-1/30 =1/f

f=- 30cm

this - sign shows that focal length is at left side.

=> f= 30cm
