Initial velocity u = 0 km/hr

= 0 m/s

Final velocity v = 36 km/hr * 5/18

= 10 m/s

Time T = 40 s

Acceleration = (v - u)/T

= (10-0)/40

= 1/4

= 0.25 ms-2

Distance = ut + 1/2 a {t}^{2}

Distance = 0 + 1/2*0.25*40*40

Distance = 0 + 1/2*0.25*1600

Distance = 0 + 0.25*800

Distance = 0 + 200

Distance = 200 m

Hope it helps
