The objective of the Macao City Clean-up Campaign, launched in 1993, is to increase public support and cooperation towards improving the city's living environment and surroundings through a variety of promotional activities.

"Cleanliness is next to Godliness."

Cleanliness means to keep ourself physically(body) and mentally(brain) clean.

It gives a person personality.

It is a good habit and everyone should adopt it.

Cleanliness is very important for us.

By cleanliness we can get rid of diseases.

Cleanliness is next to godliness—certainly this is duty, not a sin.

A person who is clean and tidy and well dress up gets respects from those around him than those who have a slovenly and unkempt appearance.

It is an insult to respectable people to meet them with dirty face and hands, and soiled and evil-smelling clothes.

A gentleman would feel ashamed if he could not keep himself clean.

Also in Temples or any worship place cleanliness is first done than worship.

Hence cleanliness is a next step to godliness.

A Clean up campaign is a community-based, environmental initiative that inspires and empowers communities to clean up, fix up and conserve their environment.
