Objective of teaching English as per NCF 2005​

• The goal of learning English, according to NCF 2005, is to encompass the languages that a kid naturally picks up from her or his family and social surroundings, such as the language(s) spoken at home, among a wider kinship group, on the street, and in the neighbourhood. The value of home language instruction in the classroom cannot be overstated.
• to foster an individual's feeling of dignity and self-reliance, which will serve as the foundation for social interactions and foster a sense of peace and unity among all members of society. the creation of a child-centered strategy, promotion of universal enrolment, and retention of students up to the age of 14.
• to aid in the linguistic development of children. to help kids to speak, think, and express themselves in English with ease. to assist kids in structuring and verbalising their mental processes. to assist them with speaking and reading with the proper intonation, pronunciation, and tones.
• The objectives of second language education are twofold: achieving a foundational level of skill similar to that attained in studying a native tongue, and transforming language into a tool for abstract cognition and knowledge acquisition through literacy. Language proficiency in one language is enhanced by proficiency in others.
