Annual sports day is conducted in most schools, colleges and organisations with large staff strength. In schools and colleges, winners of individual events are selected for participation in district events, moving up to zonal/national events and so on. Most of our national athletes have come up, starting with school or college sports events.
Annual sports days usually have a few events exclusively for the teachers and staff. This creates a sense of oneness, among staff and students.
Annual sports days in general, are a good way to spread the message of physical fitness and living a healthy life, among the younger and older generation.
