Materials required: Five empty jam bottles with
lids; a magnifying glass; some food samples (halwa,
raita, cut fruits, biscuits, cooked vegetable).
Procedure:
1. Label the bottles as A, B, C, D and E.
2. Put different food samples in the bottles
separately.
3. Cover each bottle tightly to make it air tight.
4. Keep these bottles undisturbed in a damp place
for about a week.
5. Observe how the colour, appearance, amount
and odour of the food samples have changed
after 7 days.
6. Tabulate your observation.​
