  • Draw a line on the object along the string.
  • Repeat the procedure from another point on the object You now have two lines drawn on the object which intersect.
  • The center of gravity is the point where the lines intersect.
  • This procedure works well for irregularly shaped objects that are hard to balance.

Hope it's help you dear...

Answer:

We decide the center of gravity of an irregular lamina by the method of balance using a plumb line . First we make three fine holes A,B,C near the edge of lamina now suspend the lamina along with a plumb line from hole A, using a pin clamped horizontally on a retort stand . Check the lamina is free to oscillate on the nail about the point of suspension when lamina come to rest draw a straight line AD along the plumb line.

Repeat the process by suspending it from points B,C then where all three lines meets that is you point of CG.

I hope it helps.
