Ganga and Yamuna have got polluted a lot since lot of chemicals in the factories are being sent to it. Also lot of funeral in it causes its contaminationPOLLUTION IN GANGA AND YAMUNA

Pollution in Ganga and Yamuna

The pollution that has occured in the rivers like Ganga and Yamuna has threatened the health of humans and also the environment.

Wastes from the industries and also human wastes are dumped there which has lead to severe pollution.

Increase in population, and human activities like bathing, washing clothes, etc, are also responsible for the pollution.

Several initiatives are taken to clean and those river.
