Plastic bags has been a boon and Bane both for the environment. The advantages of plastic that is that they are extremely strong and can carry a huge amount of weight. What are the disadvantages of plastic bags are they are non biodegradable and cannot be easily degraded by the microorganisms.
Plastic bags cannot be easily decomposed by the microorganism in a way they could decompose papers. So they should be properly recycled. Plastic bags clogs various water channels and lead to overflow of water. Like sometimes in during rainfall the drains are blocked due to plastic bags which are thrown in the drains. And this leds to overflow of the water.
