Hi,

Various types of separation techniques are:

  1. Chromatography: It is used to separate components from liquid mixtures.
  2. Centrifugation: When normal filtration cant filter so small solid parts from mixture then Centrifugation used.
  3. Simple Distillation: It is used for separate particles from two different liquid mixtures.
  4. Fractional Distillation
  5. Separating funnel: It is used for separation of component from two different liquids.
  6. Crystallization
  7. Filtration
  8. Evaporation Etc.

Thank you.

Some of the separation techniques used in daily life:

a) Some finely ground, grain powders, are washed in water and the mixture is poured over a piece of clean cloth, kept over a receiving vessel. The water falling into the vessel is once again poured over the cloth, and the process is repeated, until the cleaned, grain powder is retrieved completely – separation of water by Filtration.

b) Food items are washed and kept to dry in the sunlight – separation of water by Evaporation.
