- The plumule is the rudimentary shoot of the seed embryo, which develops into the first true leaves whereas radicle is rudimentary root of seed embryo, which comes out from the seed during germination.
- Plumule grows after growth of radicle whereas radicle comes out first from the seed.
- Plumule grows upward out of the soil whereas radicle grows downward into the soil.
- Plumule is less white than radicle.
- Plumule is capable of photosynthesis whereas radicle is capable of absorbing water from the soil.
