Explanation:

Compression is maximum in the case of gases, then in liquid and least in solids.

Thank you.

Observation: Liquids are less compressible and gases are highly compressible. Because there is a very less intramolecular force of attraction in gases than liquids.

More:-

Differentiation based on,

Density:-

  • Solids have a greater density.
  • Liquids have a density which is more than gases and less than solids.
  • Gases have a very low density.

Shape:-

  • Solids have a shape.
  • Liquids occupy the shape of the container.
  • Gases do not have a shape.

Force of attraction among particles:-

  • Solids have the greatest force of attraction.
  • Liquids have a medium force of attraction.
  • Gases have a less inter particle force of attraction.

Mass:-

  • Solids have a greater mass.
  • Liquids have a mass less than solids but more than gases.
  • Gases have negligible mass.
