  1. The type of reaction is decomposition reaction.
  2. 2FE(SO4)--- Fe2O3(s) +SO2(g) + SO3(g)
  3. The colour of the crystal changes because a chemical reaction is taking place here and hence the chemical properties of crystals change.
  4. The smell is of the SO2 and SO3 gas .
