1)If an element can be induced to undergo fission via neutron bombardment, it is said to be fissile . Nuclear fission of U-235If U-235 is bombarded with a neutron (light blue small circe), the resulting U-236 produced is unstable and undergoes fission.

2)Radiation is emitted from atoms when an unstable atom decays to become more stable. When an atom has extra neutrons or protons, it causes the element to become unstable. This activity helps students understand how emitting an alpha or beta particle changes the structure of an atom
