( i )

Distillation is used for such refining

In this method Impure Metal is heated above it's boiling point so that it can form vapours , these vapours are collected together and then condensed to get the pure metal

As the impurities have higher boliling point they dont vaporize and we obtain pure metal from it .

( ii )

This method is called as Poling

Poling is used for metals that have oxidized impurities

The hydrocarbons in the green wood can reduce the metal, and the oxygen leaves as CO₂ gas.
