so this is the process

v imagine that all four chambers of heart are in relaxed state

the blood from inferior vena cava & superior vena cava enters right auricle & left auricle respectively

when blood enters the right auricle the right auricle starts contracting

this makes the blood in the right auricle to move down into right ventricle

now the valves ( tricuspid ) valve closes to avoid the backward flow of blood into auricle

this produces a sharp sound called lub

now the ventricles start contracting forcing the blood to move into aorta & pulmonary artery

to avoid the backward flow of blood the valves present between the blood vessels closes

this produces a dull sound called dub
