Sri Lanka and Madagascar are the largest islands in the ocean. It is the largest island in the world.


They are also appearing as the structurally parts of the continents as are the Andaman Islands, Nicobar Islands and Socotra.


These kinds of landforms are formed close to the African continents.


The Andaman and Nicobar Islands are the examples of peaks of the submerged mountains.


It is significant to know that it is one of the seven union Indian territories.
