The reaction will take place in test tube A and it is a redox reaction.

Explanation:

Complete statement:

The test tube A & B are having copper sulphate and iron sulphate solutions respectively and iron nail is immersed in test tube A and the copper plate is immersed in test tube B then.

(a) When an iron nail is immersed in a copper sulfate solution, iron is more reactive than copper.

Therefore, it can displace copper from copper sulfate.

The balanced equation for the reaction is given below.

Fe+2 + CuSO4 -----> FeSO4 + Cu +2

The reaction will take place in test tube A.

(b) When copper is placed in an iron sulfate solution, it can not replace the copper from the solution. This is because copper is less reactive than iron.

Therefore no reaction will take place.

(c) It is a redox reaction.
