ANSWER :

Our locality has a very poor drainage system. It is due to this that many water-borne diseases are spreading in our locality. Stagnant waters in drains allows breeding of mosquitoes which is very dangerous and may cause malaria.

The poor drainage system are also a source of bad odour. This may lead to many types of sicknesses. The open drains should be treated immediately.

Bleaching powder, mosquito sprays should be given regularly in the drains to kill the harmful insects and mosquitoes.

An effective technique to kill the mosquito larva is to put Gambusa fish into the drains. This fish feeds upon larva and this way the harmful mosquitoes can be killed and thus malaria can be prevented.
