Take a plastic mug .with the help of drilling machine make 2holes at the base of the mug.fit 2rubber stopper in these holes. These rubber are fitted with carbon electrodes connect the electrode to a 6v sulphuric acid to make water a good conductor of electricity.
Fill 2 granted test tubes with water and invert them over the electrodes.this whole arrangement is called voltmeter. Now switch on the battery . It is observed that bubbles of gases start rising from both the electrodes and the level of water in the 2test tubes start falling.....
