Tennyson in his poem ‘The Brook’ portrays how the brook continues on its mission without even considering giving up. As the terrain changes, the auditory imagery changes too, ranging from babbles, chatters and even murmurs, but the water continues to chart its path. Similarly, despite changing circumstances, some of which may not be favourable, like stony ways, humans, should take inspiration from the brook and overcome each obstacle with resolve. Even when no path is evident, humans should strive, to make new inroads, much like the brook cuts into the banks that are in its way.
