we know that g=Me*m/r² where me= mass of earth and r is taken as radius of earth from centre
so if u take object near centre then
g=Me*m/r²-h
and if u take object above the earth surface
g=me*m/r²+h

Answer:
The body thus possesses an acceleration, called Acceleration Due to gravity(g). Here (R + h) is the distance between the object and the centre of earth. Say at that height h, the gravitational acceleration is g1. So as altitude h increases, the value of acceleration due to gravity falls.
