We know that

Velocity in x axis is ucosθ

Velocity in y axis is usinθ

For motion in x axis

x = ucosθ t (since s= ut)

t = x/ucosθ

For motion in y axis

y = usinθ t + 1/2 (-g) t^2 (since s=ut+(1/2gt^2)

Substituting t

y = usinθ x/ucosθ -1/2 g x²/u²cos²θ

y = xtanθ-(1/2) gx²/u²cos²θ

Or

y= xtanθ(1-gx/2u²sinθcosθ)

Or

y = xtanθ(1-x/R)
