We know
Impulse = force × time
= ft
let the initial momentum of an object be mu and the final momentum be mv
F=ma
From newtons second Law
mv-mu/t = F
mv - mu = Ft
change in momentum is mv - mu and Ft is impulse
therefore Impulse = Change in Momentum
