Obtain the velocity transformation rules for the (y, z) components of the velocity under an x-boost. Show that the einstein velocity addition rule reduces to the galilean one in the limit of small velocities. Show that under successive x boosts by tanhφ and tanhφ0 is equivalent to tanh(φ + φ 0 ). Show that this is just the lorentz velocity transformation rule.
