♥ Gandhi ji started Dandi march on March 12, 1930 frim Sabarmathi Ashram towards the small coastal village of Dandi

♥ He marched against the state monopoly in manufacturing and selling of salt

♥ It is also known as Salt march or Civil disobedience movement

♥ This movement spread rapidly

♥ everyone worked together aagainst harrasment of the british govt

✧ Mahatma Gandhi started his famous Dandi March on 11th March 1930 accompanied by 78 of his trusted volunteers .

✧ The march was to cover 240 miles from Gandhi’s ashram in Sabarmati to the Gujarati Coastal town of Dandi .

✧ This March was undertaken to protest against the repressive salt tax imposed by the colonial government .

✧ On 6th April 1930 , he reached Dandi and ceremonially violated the law by manufacturing salt by boiling sea water .
