'Octagonal’ shape of mausoleums is the distinctive feature of Lodi dynasty of Medieval India.

The Octagonal mausoleum is an eight sided mausoleum and this was one of the distinctive inventions of Lodis in architecture in India. Tomb of Sikandar Lodi in Delhi is the best example of ’Octagonal’ shape of mausoleums.
