OD is a perpendicular to chord AB of a circle whose centre is O. if BC is a diameter show that CA = 2 OD​

Answer:

As angle CAB = 90°

And B is common angle.

The Triangle ODB and CAB are congruent.

So,

BD/BA = OD /CA = BO/BC = 1/2

BD/BA = OD /CA = BO/BC = 1/2

So,

CA/OD = 2

CA = 2*OD
