One of the greatest invented machines till now is a computer. A computer is an electronic machine invented by a scientist named “Charles Babbage” ; that is not less than a wonder as it changes the way we work and live. It is something which can do complex calculations accurately without making any error on their own. It is something that can't forget anything, it has saved.Computers can directly or indirectly be called as “artificial intelligence”.
Computers can store enormous amount of data that must be located and retrieved very quickly. It can both store and remember a large amount of information at one time.Computers also play an important role in the area of communication, they are used in communication such as sending e-mail, chatting and so on. It is used in typing and printing documents,letters; designing magazines, newspapers, books, advertisements and so on. In the area or scientific research work, computers are used to store all the important information and it is handy for all kinds of scientific research work. In defence computer is used to help in building weapons , controlling their functions, launching & guiding missiles and keeping the records of all these things. In banks computer is used for storing information about different account holders, keeping a record of cash and providing all kinds of information regarding any account in the banks.On the other hand, computers are used in schools for teaching, doing mathematical calculations and completing homework.
