Last week while traveling from Chennai to Ludhiana, I observed a disturbing incident in my compartment. My copassnegers were an old couple; they had been allotted upper berth, which caused them lots of inconvenience.
Seeing this, I swapped my berth with the elderly lady. I feel the railway reservation department must allot the elderly people lower berths only. This will make their longer journeys comfortable.
Through the medium of your reputed daily I appeal to the concerned authorities to look into it. I also appeal to the younger people, whenever they see any such case, they should swap their berths with them.
