(A) 60% of the power consumed by incandescent bulbs gets wasted in the form of heat.

In incandescent bulbs, the filament is heated to give light. It is heated to an extent that it starts to emit light which falls in the visible region of the spectrum. About 60% of power given to such bulb is lost as heat and only 40% is actually used. These bulbs are rated differently according to their power in Watts. The bulb with higher power will be brighter than a bulb with lesser power.

Nowadays, LED bulbs are being preferred over these as they use less amount of energy and have higher efficiency. They also have a longer life as compared to incandescent bulbs
