Given:-

the ₹ 2,400 Mr krishnan earned, he spent 3/8 on food, 1/3 on taxes and 1/6 on other expenses. Find out how much all this in rupees.

To find:-

Find out how much he saved ?

Solution:-

Total money earned by Mr.Krishnan =

₹ 2,400

Money spent on food = 3/8 of the earned money

=>(3/8)×2400

=>(3×2400)/8

=>3×300

=>900

Money spent on food = ₹ 900

Money spent on taxes = 1/3 rd of earned money

=>(1/3)×2400

=>2400/3

=>800

Money spent on taxes = ₹ 800

Money spent on other expenses = 1/6th of earned

money

=>(1/6)×2400

=>2400/6

=>400

Money spent on other expenses = ₹ 400

Money spent in all expenses =

Spent on food + Spent on taxes + Spent on other expenses

=>900 + 800 + 400

=>2100

Total money spent on all expenses =

₹ 2,100

Money saved by him =

Earned money - Expenditure

=>Saved money = 2400 - 2100 = 300

Money saved by him = ₹ 300
